Porsche didn’t sell the car Mark Zuckerberg’s wife wanted so he took matters into his own hands and designed it himself

  • Mark Zuckerberg’s garage just got an upgrade
  • He got two matching Porsches for him and his wife
  • One of those was a Porsche Cayenne minivan, which he designed

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is on yet another side quest, and this time, he himself designed a custom Porsche Cayenne minivan for his wife and got another 911 GT3 Touring to match.

That’s right, a Porsche minivan, and also the first of its kind.

The billionaire worked with renowned firm West Coast Customs for this project, where he made some design decisions.

Both vehicles turned out to be excellent and – of course – a great his and hers pair.

A Porsche Cayenne minivan designed by Mark Zuckerberg

Mark Zuckerberg has been on several adventures lately — from becoming a surfer to taking regal vacations on his yacht.

More recently, he also revealed his daily driver, which turned out to be a Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing.

Although we had some idea about his car collection, his Porsche 911 wasn’t one that we’d clocked already.

The GT3 Touring he just got seems to be a rather new – and excellent – addition.

However, the star of today’s show is the custom Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT minivan.

Now, the German automaker doesn’t officially make a minivan, despite sending out some concepts a few years ago.

Zuck’s minivan honestly looks much more subtle than any previous concepts.

This Porsche Cayenne minivan isn’t just a pretty makeover — West Coast Customs managed to retrofit classic minivan-style sliding doors, extend the wheelbase, and possibly add some more interior modifications.

Furthermore, the Cayenne and the 911 GT3 Touring have a matching light-gray finish that Porsche calls ‘Crayon.’

A glorious side quest

The billionaire revealed this family project by posting images on both Facebook and Instagram.

Their captions read, “New side quest. Priscilla wanted a minivan, so I’ve been designing something I’m pretty sure should exist: a Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT Minivan. Threw in a manual GT3 Touring to make it his and hers. Thanks @porsche and @westcoastcustoms for helping to make this happen.”

Should it exist? Maybe.

But does it look cool? Absolutely.

The Cayenne — especially the Turbo GT variant — is an extremely capable SUV.

It recently set a new Guinness World Record by towing an Airbus A380, so there’s that.

It’s all thanks to the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 inside that sends out 650 horsepower.

Although these numbers might be overkill for a minivan, you can never have enough performance, even on family-focused cars.

With the successful delivery of the two Porsches, it might not be long before we see Zuckerberg going on another adventure.
